Cassandra Clare, de son vrai nom Judith __Rumelt est née le 27 Juillet 1973 à Téhéran. Cette __journaliste new-yorkaise a voyagé tout autour du __monde, et a lu un nombre incalculable de romans __d'horror-fantasy.
C'est en 2004 qu'elle commence l'écriture de __The Mortal Instruments, dont la trilogie initiale __comporte trois livres : La Coupe Mortelle, L'Epée __Mortelle et Le Miroir Mortel. Mais l'aventure ne __s'arrête pas là, et l'auteure ajoute trois autres __livres à sa saga, qu'elle prolongera avec un __prequel, The Infernal Devices (2011), un spin-off, __The Dark Artifices (2015), et deux autres projets __qui sont encore tenus secrets.
